Her story reminded me of something similar that happened to me back in 2008. The one morning as I got ready for the day, I discovered that my wrist watch was gone. I was staying in a youth hostel in Lisbon, Portugal and I thought that I probably left my watch in the bathroom. Off to the bathroom to check if it’s there - Nope!! Back to my room….cleared out the room - Nope!! Packed out my bags, twice – Nope!! Oh well, I probably lost it. I went to the front desk, maybe someone picked it up – Nope!!
Back home in South Africa, just after returning from Portugal, I went on a local mission trip. Before the mission, I went home to do my washing. Packed out, packed in – packed out packed in!! I was still using the same bag.
After the mission I listened to a testimony on one of the Bill Johnson’s cd’s. The man was telling about how someone stole his pocket knife and how he prayed to get it back and then miraculously the knife appeared back in his room, or something like that.
I remember, I was laying on my bed and I thought, “If You can do it for him, You can do it for me” So, I asked: “Can I please have my watch back?” I went to my bag opened it and there it was, my gold wrist watch that my mother bought me for Christmas in my matric year. It was not in some side pocket or something. It was right there staring at me as I opened the bag. It’s okay, you can freak out. I think I also did! However, we should be expecting miracles like this. It should be normal. – sela…
Two lessons learned that day: 1) I serve a God to whom all things are possible and 2) when you receive someone else’s testimony, it stirs your faith!! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy! Revelations 19:10
This morning I was pondering about life and how the things in my heart seems so difficult to obtain, and then, ah ha, it’s Tuesday!! God reminded me of what he has done in the past and what he is still capable to do!!
What are you asking Him for? It’s time to ask and believe for the impossible - whatever it might be that is in your heart. Nothing is too big or too small for God and it certainly is not impossible!!
The time in now!! Start asking and believing him – #salvation, #healing, #money, #food, # good marriages, #relational reconciliation, #cars, #husbands, #degrees, #jobs – Whatever you want to hashtag – He searches it all – he knows even before we ask!!
Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until harvest'? I tell you,
open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. - John 4: 35
